Avani Lekhara, the first Indian woman to win a gold medal in the Paralympics, made history on Monday by becoming the first Indian woman to win a gold medal. In the R-2 women's 10m Air Rifle Standing SH1 category, the 19-year-old from Jaipur shot to the top of the podium. India has already won four medals at the Tokyo Paralympic Games.
