Puducherry: Puducherry has registered 144 new cases of corona infection in the last 24 hours, with the number of infected cases increasing to 1,16,789. This was informed by the Department of Health and Family Welfare Services on Monday. Director of the department S Mohan Kumar said that one patient lost his life from corona in the last 24 hours in the Union Territory.

At the same time, 1,745 people have lost their lives so far due to the epidemic in Puducherry. No one has lost their lives from covid in Karaikal, Mahe, and Yanam in the last 24 hours. Kumar said the number of active corona cases in the state is 2,479. At the same time, 1,12,565 people have recovered from the disease in Puducherry so far. He said that so far 37,197 health workers and 22,882 front-line personnel have been vaccinated against corona. He said 3,53,754 people over the age of 45, who are 60 years or above or already suffering from any disease, have been given the corona vaccine.

Meanwhile, corona data continues to fluctuate across the country. The total number of infected cases has increased to 3,02,79,331 in the last 24 hours after 46,148 new corona cases were registered in the country. In the last 24 hours, the total number of deaths has increased to 3,96,730 after 979 new deaths.
