The Shiv Sena wrote an editorial in its mouthpiece Saamana under the title 'Center's interference is not fair' in this mouthpiece that India is a union of states. Therefore every state has its own rights and self-respect. This move, forcibly taken by the Center, is causing instability. It is alleged that the Center is doing politics of retaliation by handing over the investigation of the Elgar Parishad case to the NIA, while the Pune Police was investigating suspected Maoist relations in the case. Shiv Sena questioned that many such incidents are happening in BJP ruled states, but why does the Center not interfere there.
