Amritsar: Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh has once again attacked Delhi CM and AAP President Arvind Kejriwal. On Monday, CM Amarinder cornered the Delhi government saying, "The Kejriwal government has dashed the hopes of the people of Delhi by not providing free electricity to farmers in villages in the country's capital and providing electricity to industries at a very high rate. The people of Punjab have already rejected the Delhi model".

The Amarinder government is currently the target of the opposition over the power cut. The Aam Aadmi Party is also strongly opposing it. An FIR named under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and the Disaster Management Act was registered against 23 party members including AAP Lok Sabha MPs Bhagwant Mann and MLA Harpal Singh Cheema who were protesting near CM Captain Amarinder Singh's house in Mohali, Punjab on Saturday (July 3, 2021).

Party workers led by AAP's Punjab unit president Bhagwant Mann were shouting slogans against the Amarinder government over power cuts. A large number of policemen were deployed and multi-level barricades were brought on the road leading to CM Amarinder's farmhouse. As soon as the activists for the AAP party flag moved beyond the first level of the barricade and reached the second level, the police used water cannons to disperse them.
