Chandigarh: After the apprehension of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab's Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited his family on Friday. During a conversation with journalists, Mann expressed deep frustration towards the BJP government at the Centre, alleging that the BJP is responsible for the majority of hate speeches in the country. Mann accused the BJP of halting funds for the National Health Mission intended for AAP's mohalla clinics, asserting that the BJP aims to obstruct opposition leaders from campaigning in the upcoming elections. Drawing parallels with Vladimir Putin's regime, Mann characterized these actions as indicative of dictatorship. He passionately stated that if he had his way, the national anthem would erase Punjab's name from people's minds, emphasizing the perceived animosity towards Punjab despite its vital role in nourishing the entire nation.

Mann continued to voice his concerns, highlighting instances where individuals responsible for healthcare and educational reforms in Delhi were incarcerated. He questioned the state of democracy in the country, pointing out the imprisonment of those who dared to speak out against PM Modi. Mann emphasized a focus on constructive politics, citing achievements such as the creation of jobs in Punjab and the establishment of numerous Aam Aadmi Clinics benefiting millions.

AAP's national general secretary, Sandeep Pathak, echoed Mann's sentiments, denouncing Kejriwal's arrest as fraudulent and expressing confidence in the judiciary's ability to deliver justice. Similarly, AAP's Chief Whip in the Delhi Assembly, Dilip Pandey, condemned Kejriwal's arrest as a major political blunder by the BJP. He predicted that the people of Delhi and the country would respond strongly in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, criticizing the BJP's perceived political arrogance and expressing belief that the ED's actions reflect the party's nervousness and frustration.
