Amritsar: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has enacted an election rally for the proposed Punjab assembly elections in 2022 next year. AAP has also released the first list of 10 candidates for the election. 10 sitting MLAs have been given tickets in this list. In fact, the difficulties before the AAP elections increased when its MLA was constantly leaving the party and going to Congress. In view of the growing discontent within the party and curbing defections of MLAs, the list of candidates has been originated.

The first list released by AAP has given tickets to 10 MLAs. There has been no change in their assembly constituency. 10 sitting MLAs, including party leader of opposition Haripal Singh Cheema, have been nominated in the list. In the 2017 assembly elections, AAP won a total of 20 seats, doing better than expected. However, the party has also suffered one setback after another in recent days. In fact, six of these 20 MLAs have left AAP. It is interesting to note in this list that four other sitting MLAs have not been given tickets.

According to the list released by the party, Jai Krishan Singh Rouri MLA from Garhshankar, Sarabjit Kaur Manuke MLA from Jagarav, Manjit Singh Bilaspur MLA from Nihal Singh Wala, Kultar Singh Sandhwan from Kotakpura, MLA Baljinder Kaur from Talwandi Sabo, MLA from Budhalada Principal Budhram, MLA Harpal Singh Cheema from Dibra, MLA Aman Arora from Sunam, MLA Gurmeet Singh Meet Haher from Barnala and MLA Kulwant Pandori from Mahil Kalan have been nominated. AAP hopes to repeat the charisma of 2017 with these MLA.
