Amritsar: 12 farmers' organizations in Punjab today launched huge tractors in 21 districts of the state against the Modi Government's Agriculture Ordinance, 2020. Along with this, there was a strong protest against the government.

More than 15 thousand tractors took to the streets of the state as a protest and thousands of farmers surrounded the houses and offices of Shiromani Akali Dal and BJP MPs, MLAs and senior leaders. It was an unprecedented protest. In Punjab, farmer organizations have been agitating against the Modi government for the past fortnight. A huge tractor march was also taken out last week. In this demonstration, farmers' organizations united and took out a tractor march from one corner of the state to the other.

Farmer leaders, in their address, termed the new Agriculture Ordinance and Electricity Act -2020 of the Center as anti-farmer and agricultural, attacking the federal structure of the country. In the face of not withdrawing the new ordinance, the protesting farmers have warned of a more intense struggle. Farmer leaders everywhere told the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), the patroness of the clouds, that if it is a well-wisher of the farmers, immediately break ties with the BJP and join the struggle of the farmers of Punjab against the central government.
