Amritsar: The agitation of the farmers against the agricultural laws brought by the central government continues unabated, while there are some reports that farmers are being forced to participate in this demonstration. In Virk Khurd village of Bathinda, the panchayat passed the resolution directing the villagers that at least one person from each family of the village must reach the Delhi movement. The ones who cannot go will give Rs 1,500 that can be contributed to the ongoing struggle. If anyone does not listen, he will be boycotted from the village.

The decree issued by a Panchayat in Punjab states that one person from every household should be on the Delhi border for the next 7 days. It has also been said that if any vehicle in Delhi is damaged, the village will take responsibility for it. The order has been issued on the official letterhead of the gram panchayat. Musakabad village of Samrala tehsil of Ludhiana has passed a similar resolution.

The panchayat has said that a batch of 20 people from the village will be taken to the Delhi protest and after four days the team will return and the other party will leave again. Similarly, this process of going to Delhi borders will continue. The panchayat accused the government of trying to suppress the movement and said that they would not tolerate it. There has been an appeal to issue a similar decree in every village. In such a situation, the question arises that is it not a violation of his fundamental right to force someone to send in the movement? Is there a similar mob in Delhi? And why is the administration sitting silently on such matters?
