Amritsar: Police have seized a large consignment of arms and drugs from the Gharinda area of Amritsar on Tuesday. He has seized 5.2 kg of heroin, an AK-47 (sub-machine gun), magazines, 13 live cartridges, and a pistol from the area. SSP Dhruv Dahiya of Amritsar (Gramin) informed that an FIR has been lodged under the NDPS Act and Arms Act.

According to local media reports, the consignment was sent from Pakistan, which was sent by Bilal Sandhu, a notorious smuggler living. The consignment of arms and heroin was kept hidden near the barbed wire and sought by a smuggler living in India. Police are engaged in the detection of smugglers and their entire network and are conducting raids in different places.

According to reports, Maninder Singh, in-charge of the Gharinda police station, was informed about the smuggling of arms and heroin from Pakistan, after which the action has been taken. It was reported that the consignment was kept hidden near the barbed wire in the BOP Dauke. The search operation was followed and the consignment was recovered.
