Amritsar: Punjab Police SI Harjit Singh, whose hand was cut in the attack of Nihangas violating the rules of lockdown, has been discharged from PGI after joining hands. After being discharged from the hospital, he reached his residence in Patiala. The senior police officers and jawans welcomed him by raining flowers along with the band.

Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh tweeted that Harjit Singh was discharged from the hospital and said that 'I am very happy to tell that SI Harjit Singh has been discharged from PGI Chandigarh. I would like to thank the doctor, staff and nurses of PGI for their good care. Even before being discharged, he has been handed over the appointment letter of his son to the Punjab Police.

At the same time, ie on Thursday, police officers also shook hands outside Harjeet Singh's house and gave him a warm welcome. Harjit Singh also thanked the people by raising their hands and expressed happiness. During this time people of the locality also appeared outside.
