On the occasion of the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) 42nd foundation day, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri unfurled the party's flag at his residence, saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government had given a new concept of governance in the last eight years. "In the previous eight years, the PM Modi-led government has offered a new meaning of governance: good governance is also good politics. I'd like to cite Uttar Pradesh as an example; we were successful there because development was carried out rapidly and with honesty " the Union Minister said.

On the BJP's 42nd foundation day, Puri also expressed greetings to all party workers, saying that the party has grown into a major political force not only in India but around the world as a result of everyone's hard work. JP Nadda, the BJP's president, also raised the flag and garlanded the sculptures of Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya at the party's headquarters.

On the party's 42nd foundation day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also unfurled the BJP flag at the party office in Lucknow. A blood donation camp will also be held at the party's headquarters.

At 10 a.m., the Prime Minister will use video conferencing to address party workers across the country. At 11 a.m., Nadda will take part in a march in Karol Bagh. Between April 7 and 20, the party will hold "Samajik Nyay Pakhwara." On Wednesday, envoys from various countries will pay a visit to the BJP's headquarters in New Delhi.

Syama Prasad Mookherjee created the Bharatiya Jana Sangh (BJS) in 1951, which was the BJP's previous incarnation. In 1977, the BJS united with numerous other organisations to establish the Janata Party.
