New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is celebrating its 42nd foundation day today. The BJP, which came into existence on April 6, 1980, has come a long way. The party, which was once reduced to two seats, is now in power at the Centre with an absolute majority. In such a situation, now the preparations to make this special day more special have been made on a large scale by the party.

The biggest event is going to be PM Narendra Modi's address. He is scheduled to address all BJP workers at 10 am today. With this address, the party has prepared to hoist the flag on a large scale. It has been reported that in all the Mandals and districts of the BJP, the flag hoisting will be done at every place. Each worker has been instructed to join in. This time the attraction of the foundation day is also going to be the Shobha yatra. The party had started preparations on the ground several days ago. Regarding this Shobha yatra, it is being said that every worker of the BJP, from small to big, is going to take part in it. Everyone will have a flag with lotus in their hands and they will go out on the streets sermonizing the party.

According to the BJP, this is the first time in 42 years that the Shobha yatra is being taken out on the occasion of the party's foundation day. It has been insisted by the high command that all BJP workers have to join it and also hold programmes in their district, Mandal. Another special thing about the Shobha Yatra will be that the workers will carry placards with the policies and schemes of the party written on them. This is also to send a message to the people that the BJP implements its principles.
