Dehradun: Speculations about a new chief minister in the state have come to a halt following the resignation of CM MP Tirath Singh Rawat. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has handed over the CM post to young face Pushkar Singh Dhami. It is believed that Dhami may be sworn in as chief minister today. After getting the command of the chief minister's post, Pushkar Singh Dhami said that he will take forward the work of the past.
Dhami expressed happiness and expressed gratitude to the central leadership. Pushkar Singh Dhami, representing Khatima seat in Udhamsinghnagar district, has been MLA for the second time in a row. Former CM and currently Maharashtra governor Bhagat Singh koshyari has held other positions in the party including the state president of Dhami Bhajumo and his hold among the youth is considered better.
Central observer Narendra Singh Tomar said state president Madan Kaushik and former CM Tirath Singh Rawat had proposed Pushkar Singh Dhami. Which has been agreed upon by all in the legislature party meeting. Central supervisor Narendra Singh Tomar had also reached Dehradun around 10.40 am to file his name for the CM post.
