World champion and Olympic silver medalist Indian badminton player PV Sindhu will be a part of World Olympic Day. PV Sindhu is scheduled to participate in the live fitness event on the occasion of World Olympic Day on June 23 along with the top 21 athletes in the world. Commonwealth and Asian Games champion Indian women wrestler Vinesh Phogat is also going to be a part of the ceremony, which will feature her exclusive workouts in a pre-recorded video with 23 Olympic players from all over the world.
In this video, the players will show their favorite workouts, which will be available on the Olympic Channel. Sindhu will be among those athletes from around the world whose workouts will be broadcast live on the Olympic Instagram page. Sindhu will connect with it through online at her home in Hyderabad. It will be broadcast in different 20 time zones at 11 o'clock in the day. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) said that on Olympic Day 2020, Olympians, athletes, and fans around the world will be seen active in the world's largest 24-hour digital workout.
The IOC said, "After the lockdown and postponement of the Olympics due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, around 5000 Olympic players from over 50 countries shared their daily workouts with 24.3 million viewers". In which shared information about how to keep body and mind healthy. IOC President Thomas Bak said that the Olympic Day program this time will be different from every time.
