London: Britain's Queen Elizabeth II died yesterday (September 8) at the age of 96. Queen Elizabeth died at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. She had come here on summer break. Let us tell you that Elizabeth became Queen after the death of her father George VI in 1952. Then she was only 25 years old. Queen Elizabeth was born on 21 April 1926. At that time Britain was ruled by King George V. Elizabeth's father, King George VI, who later became King of Britain. Queen Elizabeth's full name was Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor.

According to the royal family, the Queen was battling with episodic mobility. In this, she had difficulty in standing and walking. Queen Elizabeth-II had also become corona infected in February this year, Elizabeth's health deteriorated on Thursday. Since then she was under the supervision of doctors. Queen Elizabeth II was Britain's longest-reigning monarch. Elizabeth ruled for 70 years. Britain got 15 prime ministers during her reign. After the death of Queen Elizabeth II, her son Charles (age 73) has now been made the new King of Britain. Elizabeth II was the queen of not only Britain but of 14 more countries.

In 1947, Elizabeth II married Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Prince Philip, Prince of Denmark and Greece, was born in 1921 and served in the British Royal Navy during the Second World War. He retired from his royal duties in 2017. He died in 2021. The two had four children: Charles, Anne, Andrew and Edward. Now his eldest son Charles (age 73) has become the King of Britain.

A 10-day state mourning has been declared across the UK following the death of the Queen. The Queen's body will first be brought to Edinburgh by Royal Train. The next day his coffin will be carried from the Royal Mile to St Giles' Cathedral. Here the people of the royal family and the general public will be able to pay tribute to their Queen. After this, her body will be brought again to Buckingham Palace London by placing it in the Royal train. It is possible that Elizabeth's body can also be brought to London by air. Her body will be received by the PM and cabinet members in London. There will be eight more days of official mourning since her body was placed at Buckingham Palace. She will then be cremated at Westminster Abbey.

PM Modi has condoled the death of Elizabeth. He tweeted that, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be remembered as a stalwart of our times. She provided inspirational leadership to her nation and people. She displayed dignity and decency in public life. I am hurt by her death.
