Shimla: Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, unveiled a captivating literary work titled 'Raag Prakash' by Dr Om Prakash Kaul. This brilliant compilation consists of a captivating assortment of 'Ragas'.

During the book launch, the Chief Minister expressed his belief that this literary masterpiece would prove invaluable to students, researchers, and music aficionados. He commended Dr Kaul for his unwavering dedication in crafting this literary gem and extended his heartfelt wishes for Dr Kaul's future scholarly endeavors.

Dr Kaul, an esteemed Assistant Professor of Music (Vocal) at Sanjauli Government College, is a well-recognized figure in the realm of Gazal (vocal). Recently, his college anthem garnered widespread acclaim and appreciation from all segments of society.

In a recent development, CM Sukhu instructed the implementation of the groundbreaking 'One State-One Portal' digital system. This innovative system aims to centralize and streamline all online services provided by Urban Local Bodies, with the aim of minimizing in-person visits to government offices. The Chief Minister emphasized the significance of providing prompt and efficient online services, while also curbing corruption within the system. Consequently, all essential services such as property tax, bill payments, notices, and various types of clearances and permissions will be made available online. The calculation and collection of property tax across all Urban Local Bodies will be conducted through an online platform.

Expanding on this, CM Sukhu elaborated, "To further optimize our operations, we are developing a fully automated online buildings permission system in collaboration with the Department of Digital Technology and Governance. This system will encompass all 61 Urban Local Bodies, 35 notified SADA, and 56 Planning Areas in the state. It will enable real-time scrutiny of building plans through automated scrutiny features, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in the approval process."

He further added, "The new system will facilitate the seamless uploading of applications and documents, enabling the issuance of permissions and notices through this streamlined process." The Chief Minister also stressed the importance of addressing objections in a singular instance rather than repeatedly reopening them. Moreover, he directed the adoption of digital technology in accounting practices, thereby modernizing the functioning of Urban Local Bodies. These endeavors, he believes, demonstrate a firm commitment to efficient governance and citizen-centric service delivery by incorporating modern technology and streamlining services across Urban Local Bodies and government departments.
