Growing up in the shadow of immensely talented personalities in the television and film industry, this young man had been grooming himself to become a part of this industry. Abhishek Rao, famously known as Raanna, has been intrigued by the world of fame and acting. He grew up watching his talented mother, Mamata Rao and sister Rakshita who were a reputed and adored actress of their time. Previously, Raanna made his debut with the Kannada movie “Ek Love Ya” and is currently engrossed in his upcoming projects.
Raanna has embarked on his acting journey by majorly working in Kannada movies. The debut movie fetched Raanna plenty of positive reviews for his splendid acting skills. In recent news, Raanna was training vigorously for his action scenes and stunts for his upcoming movie. Raanna’s fans are eagerly waiting for the film and its updates. Recently, the concept poster of the movie was released on Raanna’s birthday. The fans went gaga over it and shared it extensively on social media platforms. The upcoming project of Raanna is produced by Shanvi Entertainments. Furthermore, the story is written and directed by Vijay Eshwar - who also worked as a dialogue writer on the sets of Raanna’s debut movie “Ek Love Ya”.
Before bagging his first project, Raanna worked as an assistant director on the sets of “TheVillian”. Raanna says it was a learning experience for him on the sets, where he was presented with the opportunity to meet and interact with several prominent personalities of the film fraternity. Raanna adds, “A memory very precious to me has to be during my time on the sets of The Villan, where I got to meet Shivanna and Sudeep Sir. I got to learn valuable life-long learnings that will benefit me to polish my skills even more.”
“My pillars of strength are parents and brother-in-law. I’ve grown up watching my sister dazzle on the screen and brother-in-law create splendid movies,” shares Raanna. Raanna went to The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York to hone his acting skills and get in-depth knowledge of the film and theatre industry. After returning from New York, Raanna assisted his brother-in-law, director Prem on film sets.
