Actress Radhika Narayan is a trained Kathak dancer. In the last few years, she has let that passion take a backseat, as she got busy with work commitments, but she is now setting that right. If the actress’recent social media posts are anything to go by, it would seem that she has returned to dancing with a vengeance. Apart from posting choreographies by Sandalwood choreographer Raju, the actress has also joined a belly dance class.
"The pandemic and all the news around COVID deaths kicked in a lot of negativity and I really wanted to do something constructive and positive with the time I had at hand. I decided to get back to dancing, not as a one-off performance, but as a proper ritual. These classes have helped me beat the pandemic blues, as the positive energy of the instructors and the other students just rubbed off on me. I am glad that I am getting back to a dance routine after almost two years. It is almost like I used to when I was doing my kathak training. And I am really enjoying this phase as a dance student," says Radhika.
The actress has dedicated her evenings to dance classes and is happy that it has helped her be emotionally and physically fit. "I can feel my fitter and happy self. In fact, my mother says that I am glowing now," says Radhika, adding, "I intend to continue dancing as it has added an extra flavour to my life. It has really helped me be more positive in these troubled times."
