New Delhi: The first consignment of Rafale aircraft is reaching India on July 29 amidst the ongoing conflict between India and China. Meanwhile, there have been reports that the Indian Air Force is engaged in an exercise to equip the Rafale fighter jet with the French Missile Hammer (HAMMER Missile). This will increase the firepower of fighter jets. Orders have been placed for the purchase of Hammer missiles under the emergency powers of procurement given to the armed forces by the Modi government. This missile has the capability to penetrate any type of target over a range of about 60-70 km.

Government sources while talking to news agency ANI said, 'Orders are being placed for Hammer missiles. French authorities have agreed to supply Rafale fighter jets in short time. Keeping in mind the urgent need of these missiles by the Airforce, the French authorities will provide these missile systems to India from the existing stock, which they had built for some of their other customers.

Let us tell you that the Highly Agile Modular Munition Extended Range (Hammer) is a medium range air-to-ground missile. It was initially designed for the French Airforce and Navy. This will increase the strength of the attack on any bunker or targets in any region, including mountainous areas of India.
