New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi once again launched a sharp attack on BJP-led NDA government at centre and Manohar Lal Khattar government in Haryana over ongoing Padmaavat row across the country claiming the country is on fire.

His criticism came after some mob attacked one of the private school bus on Thursday afternoon when the school kids were on their way to home.

A video which went viral clearly shows how goons protesting "Padmaavat" targeted school bus carrying school kids and pelted stones shattering windows and scared kids crouching in a bus.

Gandhi claimed that Khattar government in Haryana failed to handle the situation in his state as a result of that maintain law and order disturbed in Haryana.

Gandhi tweeted that, "There will never be a cause big enough to justify violence against children... The BJP's use of hatred and violence is setting our entire country on fire."

So far neither of Congress or BJP so far willing to take relevant action to deal the situation.

The 190-crore movie starring Deepika Padukone as Rani Padmini, Shahid Kapoor as the Rajput king Maharawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji. A movie based on an epic written by Sufi poet Malik Mohammad Jaisi with the same title in 1540.

In past few days, protests and many incidents took place across the nation with mob targeted cinema theatres and vandalised property. They even damaged buses plying on the roads.

Thousands of Karni Sena and other outfits upset with the portrayal of Rani Padmaavati or Padmini in the film lodged their protest against director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
