BENGALURU:  The campaign for the Karnataka Assembly election 2018 has picked rate of knots ahead of voting day on May 12. Today Congress president Rahul Gandhi will release the party's election manifesto at the TMA Pai Convention Hall in Mangaluru. Congress Scion will also visit Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Temple in Dakshina Kannada district.

While BJP president Amit Shah’s road show at Bellary has been cancelled, but he will hold a road show at Koupal in the evening.

Yesterday Rahul Gandhi had held a road show in Ankola, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed to BJP party workers in the state via video conferencing. BJP and Congress have been campaigning assertively across the state over the last month. While the incumbent Congress government in Karnataka is looking to be the victor a second term, while the BJP, which was in power till May 2013, is seeking to be crowned again.

Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah asserted that "If Yogi Adityanath comes here, it will be a minus point for BJP," since The Uttar Pradesh chief minister is going to participate in the campaign in the poll-bound state next week.
