New Delhi: Former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi has accused the central government of ruining the opposition through institutions. Ahead of Congress' proposed protest against price rise and unemployment, Rahul said that in a democracy, the opposition fights only through institutions and today they are being ruined. All these institutions are now supporting the government. The reason for this is that the Government has kept its people here.
The Congress leader further said, "No institution in the country is independent today and they are controlled by the RSS. We are not fighting one political party, but the entire infrastructure of India. If someone wants to support another political party, the ED is put behind him and he is threatened. That is why even after the opposition has stood strong, there is not much impact. The Congress MP said that it is time for the people to come forward. Such is the atmosphere that Kharge was summoned by the ED for questioning from the middle of the Parliament session.'' Rahul said, "Democracy is being murdered. What this country built in 70 years was destroyed in eight years. There is no democracy in the country today.''
Rahul, who is on bail in the National Herald case, alleged that today there is a dictatorship of four people. The whole country knows that. We want to raise the issue of price rise, unemployment, and violence in society. We are not being allowed to speak outside and inside Parliament. The government is working only for two-three big industrialists.
