New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, arguing that the government's "misgovernance" is a case of study of how to destabilise what was once one of the world's fastest-growing economies.

His message came as the country faced a power and coal shortfall during peak summer demand. "Power Outage." There is a job shortage. Inflation Crisis. Farmer Crisis. PM Modi's eight years of misgovernance are a case study in how to destroy what was once one among the world's fastest rising economies," the former Congress chief tweeted.

The Bharatiya Janata party government has been criticised by Gandhi and his Congress party for rising inflation and unemployment.

"We demand that this artificial power crisis, which is being created owing to coal mismanagement, be quickly remedied and people be provided relief by providing 24x7 power supply this summer," Congress spokeswoman Gourav Vallabh said earlier.

In the upcoming brain-storming session in Udaipur, the party is likely to focus on economic issues. The party has organised a number of committees that are meeting to draught the session's agenda.
