Lucknow: The campaigning for the fifth phase of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections will end this evening and the political mercury of Amethi, which holds an important place in the politics of UP, has increased significantly. Because today, once again in Amethi, on the last day of the election campaign, former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi and Union Minister Smriti Irani will be face to face.

Rahul Gandhi is coming to campaign in the state for the first time after the passage of half of the upcoming elections. However, Smriti Irani has been continuously campaigning in Amethi and raising questions about Rahul Gandhi's disappearance from the state elections. Uttar Pradesh assembly elections mean a lot to the BJP. Because the state already has a BJP government and there is pressure on the party to repeat its victory. So the saffron party had fielded its veterans in the election campaign long ago. 

Union Minister Smriti Irani is camping in Amethi and she was also present at PM Narendra Modi's public meeting yesterday. In the rally, the BJP  leaders took a dig at Congress MPs Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, saying that they are electoral creatures. Amethi MP and Union Minister Smriti Irani said that even when death was hovering over our heads, we served Amethi and former MP Rahul Gandhi and his family members remained absent. Irani said that those who are only electoral beings, their job is to ask for votes and our job is to serve.
