Sunday, the district Congress committee placed up a banner and also pasted posters on the walls of the city, in which Rahul Gandhi has seen as 'Singham', the saviour of people in a police officer's uniform and opposition leaders Akhilesh Yadav, Mayawati, Keshav Prasad Maurya, Asaduddin Owaisi and others pleading before him as they are facing various charges.

In the poster, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is depicted as saviour of people who will save the state from the 27 years of bad governance and Samajwadi Party leader and chief minister of the state Akhilesh Yadav is depicted as saviour of criminals. BSP chief Mayawati is charged with corruption and scams, BJP state president Keshav Prasad Maurya as a man with criminal background and as riot initiator.

However, AIMIM district president Sameer Siddiqui has lodged an FIR against district Congress general secretary Anwar Hussain and district vice-president ESS Pandey on Monday for trying to disrupt peace through posters.
