New Delhi: Today 4 years of demonetisation has been completed. Former National President of Congress Rahul Gandhi targeted PM Narendra Modi. He has recently alleged that 'demonetisation was a thoughtful move of Prime Minister Modi to waive millions of crores of rupees of 'Modi-friendly' capitalists from the money of the general public. He has called demonetisation a national tragedy today. He has appealed to the people of the country to raise their voice against it. All these things Rahul Gandhi has said in a video message.

In this, he said, 'Today there is a big question in front of India, how the economy of Bangladesh has overtaken the economy of India. There was a time when India's economy was the fastest growing economy in the world. The government tells Coronavirus as the reason for the economy collapsing. If this is the reason, there is an outbreak of Coronavirus all over the world. Yet how India has lagged behind.' Rahul also said, 'The reason for India's declining economy is not Covid-19, but demonetisation-GST. 4 years ago, the Narendra Modi government launched an attack on the country's economy. Farmers, labourers, small shopkeepers got hurt. Manmohan Singh had expressed the possibility of 2% loss. Prime Minister Modi had said that it is a step to fight against black money but it was not a fight against black money, but it was a lie. It was an attack on the public, by snatching public money, Narendra Modi wanted to give it to his big industrialist friends.'

Rahul Gandhi also said, 'You stood in line. There were no big industrialist friends of Narendra Modi in that line. You put your money in banks, Modi gave that money to his industrialist friends. He forgave Rs 3 lakh 50 thousand crores of his industrialist friends. After that Modi Ji introduced GST to clear the way from that. The small shopkeepers eliminated traders from the GST. By doing this, Modi cleared the way for his select industrialist friends.'
