Earlier on March 28, former CM Uddhav Thackeray had warned former Congress President Rahul Gandhi against criticizing Veer Savarkar. Attacking Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had said that, if he can, Rahul Gandhi should stay in Andaman Jail like Savarkar. After this, NCP Chief Sharad Pawar called Savarkar great on Saturday. Pawar said that Savarkar had a scientific outlook and was a progressive person.
