NEW DELHI: Leaders across India extended warm birthday wishes to Rahul Gandhi as he turned 54 on Wednesday. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge praised Gandhi's steadfast commitment to constitutional values and his compassion for the voiceless.

Rahul Gandhi, the former Congress President and MP from Raebareli, directed party workers to refrain from large celebrations and instead focus on humanitarian efforts and charity.

Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav also wished Gandhi a happy birthday.

Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal joined millions of Indians in extending birthday wishes to Rahul Gandhi, describing him as the undisputed leader of India's poor, marginalized, and backward citizens. Venugopal highlighted Gandhi's role as the voice of the voiceless and the guardian of India's Constitution.

"Rahul ji's selfless dedication to serving the people is an inspiration for us all. His moral compass guides us every step of the way," Venugopal said.

"He has faced tough times, endured severe criticism, and withstood attacks from all sides, but he has always stood firm on his principles," Venugopal added.

"He is our country's conscience keeper, leading a lifelong mission to build an inclusive, progressive, and prosperous India," Venugopal continued.

"I wish him a lifetime of joy and strength in his journey to fight the good fight. Rahul ji has instructed all Congress workers to avoid extravagant celebrations and instead engage in humanitarian efforts, charity, and environmentally friendly activities," he said.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy also wished Gandhi on his birthday, praising his determination to fight against all odds.

"He stands by the underprivileged. Sacrifice is his inheritance, and his philosophy is to fight," Reddy said.

In a social media post, the Congress party honored Gandhi's leadership, saying, "Happy birthday to a leader who taught us to 'Choose Love'. Choose love when faced with hate, kindness appears impossible, or the going gets tough. Choose love when compassion is depleted."

"One leader who stood against anger, hatred, and tears. One leader who led from the front to reclaim our democracy. One leader who ushered in light and rekindled hope. Thank you for being you, Rahul Gandhi ji," the party concluded.
