New Delhi: Saket Gokhale, who filed a petition in Allahabad High Court seeking a ban on Bhoomi Poojan to be held on August 5 for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, is said to be close to Rahul Gandhi, former Congress National President and MP. Several photographs of Saket are also present with Rahul Gandhi. Saket Gokhale has also retweeted many tweets of Rahul Gandhi.

Saket Gokhale has filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court at the behest of Rahul Gandhi and demanded a ban on Bhoomi Pujan. On 5 August, PM Modi is scheduled to reach Ayodhya for Bhoomi Pujan. Talking to a private news channel, Saket Gokhale has termed Bhoomi Pujan a violation of the guideline of Unlock-2 of Corona epidemic. Saket Gokhale has also argued the same in his petition. Saket has demanded through a petition that three hundred people will be involved in Bhoomi Pujan, which will be against the rules of COVID.

Saket Gokhale has sent a letter PIL to the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court. Saket has demanded a ban on the Bhoomi Pujan program through letter petitions. The petition said that due to the Bhoomi Poojan program, there is a danger of spreading of Coronavirus, the UP government cannot waive the guidelines of the Center.
