New Delhi: Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi rebuffs the exit poll predictions for the Lok Sabha elections, terming them as "fantasy" and "Modi media" polls. He addresses reporters the day after the exit polls projected a significant victory for the BJP-led NDA, stating, "It is not exit poll, it is Modi media poll. It is his fantasy poll."
Referencing the predicted seat count for the INDIA alliance, Gandhi humorously remarks, "Have you heard Sidhu Moose Wala's song 295? 295."

Exit polls indicate a substantial win for the NDA, with projected seats ranging from 361 to 401. Conversely, the Congress-led INDIA bloc is anticipated to secure only 131-166 seats, with the Congress making gains in Karnataka, Telangana, and Rajasthan. Gandhi's comments follow a meeting of INDIA bloc leaders in Delhi, where they expressed confidence in securing over 295 seats, sufficient to form the next government. Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge underscores that this figure is based on feedback from the people, which he labels as a "people's survey."
