New Delhi: A few months ago, a new education policy has been announced by the government, on which the churn is still going on. PM Modi said in his address that the country's goals can be met only through education policy and system. PM Modi said that the government's interference in education policy should be reduced. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday attacked the central government's new education policy, alleging that it was an "ideological attack" on the country's institutional structure.

Rahul Gandhi, while addressing a program in his constituency Wayanad, said, "NEP (National Education Policy) was brought without any interaction, discussion and asking the teachers whether it would be good for the students." It is sad and it will hurt our students a lot. He said, "this is an ideological attack on the country's institutional structure and our education system, where no one needs any understanding." He targeted PM Modi and said, "As long as he is a member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), you can become the Chancellor and the Governor." Rahul Gandhi said that whatever role you want to play in the country, it is sad. We have to fight it with full force.

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi further said that India can be strong only if its institutions are strong and if many ideas challenge each other peacefully. He also attacked the Centre's 'attempt to digitize education' and said that it would cause tremendous harm to the students.
