New Delhi: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has raised serious questions about the Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh. The Congress leader has said that the campaign against the Naxalites in Chhattisgarh Friday-Saturday was not properly designed. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi tweeted that, 'If there is no intelligence failure, the ratio of 1: 1 death means that this operation was poorly designed and completely wrongly executed. There is no choice for our jawans who can be martyred whenever they want'.
Significantly, earlier Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had said on Sunday that this attack is not an intelligence failure. According to him, the Naxalites are steadily shrinking and now their impact is left in a limited area. CM Baghel had said that the Naxalites are terrified of development, they have carried out this attack just to show their presence.
On the other hand, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has reached Chhattisgarh. He paid tribute to the soldiers who were martyred in the Naxalite attack after reaching Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh. Amit Shah will also visit the encounter site and will hold a review meeting with all the top officials present there. The Director-General of CRPF has already reached there. After this, the Home Minister will go to the hospital and meet the injured soldiers.
If there was no intelligence failure then a 1:1 death ratio means it was a poorly designed and incompetently executed operation.
