During this time, he called Prime Minister Narendra Modi a 'formidable enemy', who has 'crushed' his opponents.

With this, Rahul Gandhi accused Tamil Nadu CM Palaniswami of 'bowing down' and 'surrendering' to PM Modi. According to a news agency, Rahul Gandhi said that 'I do not know that the CM of Tamil Nadu has a history of corruption. I want to know why he does not stand up in front of Narendra Modi.' Rahul Gandhi was in southern Tamil Nadu on Sunday as part of the campaign for the assembly elections to be held on April 6.
