Hyderabad: Heavy rains in Telangana for the past several days have created flood-like situations in villages of Nirmal, Adilabad, and Nizamabad districts. Many villages have been completely submerged due to torrential rains over the past several days. A team of NDRF has been pressed into service to evacuate people trapped from their homes due to floods. On the other hand, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has urged party workers to do everything possible to help the people.

 

 

In Telangana, water is visible everywhere due to river water logging in the Nirmal, Nizamabad, and Adilabad districts of the state due to rain for the past several days. A team of NDRF rescued 7 people trapped in an old age home due to floods in Savel village of Nizamabad district on Friday morning. The MET department has just issued a rain alert for several more days. In such a situation, the problem may increase further due to floods.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has tweeted in view of the flood situation in Telangana and tried to boost the morale of the flood-affected people. I stand with the brothers and sisters of Telangana, he said. He appealed to Congress workers to extend all possible help in the relief and rescue operation. He said that an alert for more heavy rains has been issued so please keep in mind and be safe.
