New Delhi: Former Congress National President and MP from Wayanad Lok Sabha seat of Kerala, Rahul Gandhi has once again advised the Modi government at the Center regarding the economy. Rahul Gandhi says that "The threat about which he had been alerting for several months has now been accepted by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as well".
Rahul tweeted on Wednesday "RBI has now confirmed what I have been warning for months. Govt needs to: Spend more, not lend more. Give money to the poor, not tax cuts to industrialists. Restart economy by consumption. Distractions through media won't help the poor or make the economic disaster disappear."
With his tweet, Rahul Gandhi has also shared a picture of a newspaper cutting, it reads Consumption Shock Severe, Economic Recovery will take longer, Poorest hit the hardest". The report states that consumption in the country has suffered a major setback. The poor have suffered more. It will take a long time for the economy to get back on track, the report said that the government has not cut investment in corporate tax cuts, but companies have used it to reduce debt and balance cash.
