New Delhi: Former National President of Congress and Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi, who strongly opposed the removal of Article 370, which has become the root of terrorism in Kashmir, has now expressed sympathy for Kashmiri Pandits. Actually, Rahul Gandhi has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi regarding the problems of Kashmiri Pandits. In the letter, Rahul said that he wants to draw the attention of PM Modi toward the plight of the Kashmiri Pandit community displaced from Kashmir. 

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has written an open letter to PM Narendra Modi and shared it on his Twitter handle saying, 'Prime Minister, during the Bharat Jodo Yatra, a delegation of Kashmiri Pandits met me and told me their sad situation. It is a cruel step to force Kashmiri Pandits, the victims of targeted killing by terrorists, to go to the valley without security guarantees. Hope you will take appropriate steps on this subject.'

In this letter, Rahul Gandhi said that the Prime Minister, a delegation of Kashmiri Pandits had met me regarding their problems at the Jammu stage of the Bharat Jodo Yatra to unite the whole of India in the thread of love and unity. They (the Pandits) told that the government officials were forcing them to go back to work in the Kashmir Valley. Rahul wrote that, in these circumstances, forcing them to go to work in the valley without any sure guarantee of safety and security is a cruel step. Till the situation improves and becomes normal, the government can take services from these Kashmiri Pandit employees in other administrative and public works. Rahul Gandhi has said in his letter that I have assured Kashmiri Pandit brothers and sisters that I will try my best to convey their concerns and demands to you. I hope that you will take appropriate steps in this regard as soon as you get this information.

Article 370 and 35A's relation to terrorism:-

Let us inform you that when the Central Government presented the proposal to remove Articles 370 and 35A from Jammu and Kashmir in 2019, at that time Congress strongly opposed it in both Houses of Parliament. The same Articles 370 and 35A allowed separate constitutions and separate flags in Kashmir, not only this, many decisions of the Supreme Court and many laws of the Central Government were also not applicable in Jammu and Kashmir at that time. Even burning the Indian national flag tricolor in Kashmir was not a crime at that time. The people of Jammu and Kashmir had become more supporters of Pakistan than India, it was from here that the poison of extremism spread and the Muslim youth of Kashmir started becoming terrorists. The Kashmiri Hindus had to bear the brunt of this. These terrorists wanted Nizam-e-Mustafa i.e. Islamic rule in the entire Jammu and Kashmir, for which Kashmiri Hindus living there for centuries should 'die, convert or run'. 

Genocide started from 14 September 1989:-

At that time Farooq Abdullah used to be the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. By 1989, the process of killing Kashmiri Pandits had started. But, from September 14, 1989, a war was started against Kashmiri Hindus. Kashmiri Pandit, Tilak Lal Taplu, a member of BJP's national executive and a lawyer, was killed by JKLF terrorists. After this, Justice Neel Kant Ganju was also shot dead. Most of the Hindu leaders of that era were murdered. 

Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti with Rahul Gandhi:-

Kashmiri Pandits themselves say that Farooq Abdullah is responsible for the murder of their family members. But, this same Farooq Abdullah attends Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra and Rahul does not say anything to him in this regard. At the same time, Mehbooba Mufti, who said that no tricolor would be found in Jammu and Kashmir and continuously advocated talks with Pakistan, also joined Rahul's visit. All of them had opposed the removal of 370 in one voice, even the opposition leaders had threatened that if 370 was removed, rivers of blood would flow in Kashmir. Rahul Gandhi himself had also opposed the government's decision to remove Article 370. In such a situation, questions are being raised on this letter of Rahul Gandhi whether he really has sympathy for Kashmiri Hindus or whether he has written this letter from the point of view of political gain. Because the 370 has caused maximum pain to Kashmiri Pandits, Congress has been opposing it from the beginning.

What does former DGP Shesh Paul Vaid say on the massacre of Kashmiri Pandits:-

Former Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Shesh Paul Vaid blame the Congress government at the Center in 1989 (Rajiv Gandhi government) for the rise of terrorism in the country. They say that before the massacre and exodus of Hindus in Jammu and Kashmir, the police had arrested the first batch of 70 terrorists trained by Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI. The former DGP claims that these terrorists had to be released because of the political decision of the then Jammu and Kashmir's government headed by Farooq Abdullah. Later these terrorists led many terrorist organizations in the state. Former DGP of the state Shesh Paul Vaid has also told the names of those terrorists, those who were abandoned by the Farooq Abdullah government. Later these same terrorists carried out many terrorist incidents in the valley. Due to which thousands of Kashmiri Hindus lost their lives in 1990 and lakhs had to leave their homes and migrate.
