Dehradun: A shocking incident is coming to light from Rishikesh in Uttarakhand, where a man was beaten to death by an elephant. The elephant also vandalized some hut-like shops and cars there. On receiving the news, the police reached the spot and took possession of the body, and sent it for postmortem. At the same time, the police stopped the people and vehicles coming and going through the route as a precautionary measure.

The incident took place at Patna Water Falls in the Laxman Jhula area. Here on Friday morning, the elephant from the forest started making a ruckus. Due to this, the elephant damaged some hut-like shops and cars. After that, one person was beaten to death. The local people informed the Garud Chatti police post. The deceased has not been identified yet.  

According to the police, efforts are being made to identify the deceased from the people of the nearby village. The elephant also damaged a car parked on the spot and a hut-like shop. Traffic on Neelkanth Marg was stopped by the police as a precautionary measure. One such incident was reported from Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh. According to the news, on January 21, a young man went out to go to his in-laws' house with his friend. Due to this, the forest department employee explained that there is an elephant ahead, so do not go to that side. However, he did not listen to the employee and went ahead. Due to this, the elephant crushed a person named Prakash to death.
