New Delhi: The second deadly wave of corona virus has engulfed millions of people across the country. Thousands of people lost their lives due to the virus. In the face of this epidemic, the lives of frontline warriors, doctors treating corona infected people, are also not safe.

In fact, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) has reported that 624 doctors have died due to infection in the second wave of corona so far, the highest number of which 109 doctors have succumbed to their injuries in the national capital. Former Congress national president Rahul Gandhi has attacked the Modi government at the Centre over the death of doctors. Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "Doctors need to protect not only from corona virus but also from the cruelty of BJP government, to save doctors.''

According to information received from the IMA, 748 doctors died during the first wave of the epidemic and 624 doctors lost their lives in the second wave. Thus, 1362 doctors have lost their lives in both the waves of corona infection. According to IMA data, 109 doctors lost their lives in Delhi, 96 in Bihar, 79 in Uttar Pradesh, 43 in Rajasthan, 39 in Jharkhand and 34 in Andhra Pradesh and 32 in Telangana during the second wave.
