In a recent news, Union minister and senior BJP leader Maneka Gandhi said that unless there was a miracle, Congress party president Rahul Gandhi can never become the country's prime minister. Maneka Gandhi said "Rahul Gandhi can never become the prime minister unless there was a miracle,". Here it is to be noted that Maneka Gandhi also commented on Rahul Gandhi contesting Lok Sabha elections both from Amethi and Wayanad and said, "Any person can contest elections in two seats or more."

However, it is worth mention that Maneka Gandhi also said that Priyanka Gandhi will have no impact on the Lok Sabha elections as she does not have the workers. To be noted that Maneka Gandhi was pretty confident about winning the Lok Sabha elections from Sultanpur constituency and said, "My husband, Sanjay Gandhi, won the election twice and Varun Gandhi won the election from Sultanpur seat last time. This time, I and the other workers are working hard again, the victory will be ours."

Maneka Gandhi also slammed Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati for selling tickets ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. Maneka Gandhi allegedly said "We all know about Mayawati's party. She sells tickets for money. We have known this for years. This time, Sultanpur sold tickets for Rs 15 crore,".

Maneka Gandhi also said, "I have courageously spoken for the first time. I think more people will speak out now on how people win by buying tickets with money." "I will be contesting from Sultanpur. The party has not asked me to campaign in Amethi and Raebareli but if I am asked, then I will do it," Maneka Gandhi said. Maneka Gandhi also attacked the Congress on the alleged corruption charges against party president Rahul Gandhi and his brother-in-law Robert Vadra and said, "Congress has lost its relevance."
