New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided 20 places today in the Tablighi Jamaat case. The ED team raided 7 places in Delhi, 5 places in Mumbai, 1 place in Ankleshwar and 3 places in Kochi. The whole matter is still being investigated. It is said that important documents and electronic evidence related to the funding of Tablighi Jamaat have been seized from 20 locations across the country. The ED team has also conducted raids in the Zakir Nagar areas of Delhi. It is also being said that here is the house of Maulana Saad, the head of the Jamaat.

Significantly, after the Tablighi Jamaat's Covid-19 connection came to light, the police had clamped down on its chief Maulana Saad. In April itself, ED had filed a case of money laundering on 5 people including Maulana Saad. The ED has questioned 4 associates of Maulana Saad. According to the information received, efforts are being made to know their fund-givers during the interrogation of these people. Who is going to take care of the funds? Where and how the fund is coming for Markaz. Does this amount come through a donation? The ED also invited Maulana Saad for talks, but he has not yet appeared.

The information has been received that on March 31, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police had filed an FIR against Maulana Saad and some people of Tablighi Jamaat. In violation of the order of lockdown, there have been cases of the gathering of people in religious events. After which ED filed a case of money laundering against Maulana Saad and his associates.
