New Delhi: The Indian Railways is going to provide a big facility to the passengers. Train passengers will not be required to check the confirmation of the waiting ticket from the website or the inquiry number. The Railways will send a mobile message to the passengers on their own. No charge will be made for this. Whereas, at 139, a fee per minute is charged for obtaining ticket related information. The Railways is gearing up to send all ticket related information to the passengers by sending a mobile message.
Under this, the Railways have developed and are using such software keeping in mind the waiting ticket holders. Under the scheme, the Passenger Reservation System (PRS) will send a message on mobile as soon as the upgrade takes place to inform the status of the ticket of the traveling passengers. For example, if your waiting is 100 and during this time any passenger cancels their ticket, then your waiting decreases to 99, then the information will be available on your mobile.
With this, the information will be sent on mobile to the confirmed ticket holders who have been waiting. This will benefit more passengers who are not internet friendly. Significantly, only those who have a waiting ticket in the confirmed or RSC are sent on mobile. That too just four hours before the train opened. Continuous up-gradation will provide relief to railway passengers.
