Railway’s shocking news, Rajdhani Express left behind two bogies and rolled ahead

Instances of drivers dozing off while driving is not new but a train driver, that too of Rajdhani Express, took ignorance to another level altogether. Here it is to be noted that a major train accident was averted after the Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express left behind two of its bogies while the engine rolled ahead. in Indian railway the incident took place when the train was approaching Cuttack railway station in the morning around 9:50 am.

Here it is to be noted that the two bogies got separated from the train on the Kathjodi Bridge around 9:50 am. Panic was triggered among the passengers after the train was halted on the Kathjodi bridge for an hour. The train had started its journey from the Bhubaneswar railway station around 9:30 am. After that approached by train authority to a driver and all this lead to delay in the train running schedule.

However, it is worth mention here that two bogies-B/3 and B/4 were later reattached to the train and then it resumed its journey further after the senior officers from the Bhubaneswar coach maintenance depot made an inspection of the train. It is found that the Railways also put a high-level inquiry team to probe the incident and the panel has to submit its reports in within 48 hours. Over the negligence of drive, Indian railway assured to take action and further investigation is underway.
