In Andhra Pradesh, heavy rain is still wreaking devastation. Unusually heavy rains have wreaked devastation in several of the state's regions. Heavy rains have caused an ancient three-story structure in Kadiri, Anantapur district, to collapse. The collapse of the structure claimed the lives of four individuals, including three children and an elderly mother. As soon as the police learned of the home fall, relief and rescue efforts were launched. At this time, four persons are believed to be trapped in the rubble of the structure. Zone Inspector Satyababu told me of this.
On Friday, torrential rains of up to 20 cm fell in three districts of Rayalaseema and one southern coastal region, causing catastrophic destruction. At least 12 persons have died as a result of rain-related mishaps. In the Kadapa area, more than ten persons are still missing. Personnel from the air force, the SDRF, and the fire department encouraged relief and rescue efforts. PM Narendra Modi called state Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy to inquire about the situation, which was exacerbated by heavy rainfall in the state. During the talks, Prime Minister Modi committed to provide all possible help to the state. A notice has been issued by the CM's office that the CM is scheduled to conduct an aerial survey of the flood affected areas today.

Many places have been inundated due to rivers and canals as a result of the heavy rainfall. Roads have been broken in a number of locations. Heavy rains have put a halt to normal life. Rain is also having an influence on flight services.
