Muslim organisations to go to court against Uddhav government over Eid Miladun Nabi in Maharashtra

Mumbai: A controversy has arisen between Maharashtra's Uddhav government and Muslim organisations over the celebration of Eid Miladun Nabi, the main Muslim festival across Maharashtra, including Mumbai. Raza Academy, a religious organization of Muslims, has announced that if the Uddhav government does not allow them to celebrate the festival, they will go to court against  Uddhav government.

According to Raza Academy, Raza Academy has also held a meeting with the Maharashtra government and police administration to celebrate the festival and allow the procession to take off. State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has also assured to speak to CM Thackeray, but no decision has been taken on the part of the government so far. As eid miladun is the festival of The Prophet on October 30, the Muslim outfit has now decided to go to court due to no decision taken by the state government so far.

According to Raza Academy, the festival of Eid Miladun Nabi has been celebrated in Mumbai for nearly 102 years. The Maharashtra government has not yet taken a decision, while a lot has been opened in Mumbai.
