Jaipur: 13-year-old Shivangi from Rajsamand district of Rajasthan is now going to become a Sadhvi. Shivangi had left studies after the fourth standard. Now on February 17, she will take initiation in Beawar in the presence of 46 Sadhus and Sadhvis. After disillusionment with worldly life, Shivangi expressed her desire to take initiation in front of her parents. Since taking the decision of abstinence from worldly life, she has been engaged in the service of Jain monks and sages.

Shivangi was born on 25 February 2009 and will take initiation 8 days before her 14th birthday. Shivangi's parents told that since childhood there was an interest in reading religious texts. Even at a young age, Shivangi used to go to the religious meetings of Jain monks and listen to their discourses. This girl has also travelled 400KM on foot with Sadhvis, after which decided to take initiation in 2019. Due to this, all the family members are very excited.

Shivangi's father Ankit is a sugarcane gold-silver trader. So far 10 people of 2 generations have taken initiation in the sugarcane family. Shivangi's grandparents, younger grandfather, 5 aunts and 2 uncles, who are going to take initiation, have adopted the path of abstinence. Now the initiation program of the 11th member of the third generation from the sugarcane family is going to take place.
