Jaipur: The Member of Parliament from Rajasthan Ranjita Koli was attacked by unknown men on Thursday late at night.

After the incident, she was immediately rushed to a hospital in Bharatpur although was discharged after a while of treatment. The MP was on her way for a sudden inspection of a community health centre in Vair Block of her constituency. Suddenly, few unknown people near a village allegedly tried to stop the car of the MP. When the car wasn’t stopped, they attacked her car with iron rods and bricks. The driver took the car to the village and informed villagers about the incident. The police officials were called and MP was taken to hospital as she got unconscious. Police has registered a case against unknown people. The opposition party BJP has accused the government of the issue of law and order in the state. While, the State party president Satish Poonia said that MP was inspecting the health centres and revealing the status of health facilities.

Now, the attack had taken political turn raising questions on the status of law and order in the state where even an MP is not safe.
