Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is leaving no stone unturned to show his attitude. Now recently he has written a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. In his letter, he has said that "Registration of FIRs in the police stations of the country should be made mandatory". Not only this, but Gehlot has also cited the steps taken by his government in the state in this regard and said that even though it has increased the number of crimes recorded, the general public and the complainants are relieved. Apart from this, he also says that the experiments of the Congress government of the state should be used in other states of the country.

Ashok Gehlot has released a video message on social media. In this video message, he has said that "I have written a letter to the Home Minister of India Amit Shah yesterday about this experiment that the experiments that we did in Rajasthan should be implemented in the entire country. He (Shah) should advise all states, irrespective of the government of any political party, that it should be made mandatory to register FIRs in police stations". This video has been released under the 'Speakup for Women Safety' campaign of the Congress Party. In this video, Ashok Gehlot has said, "Even though this may increase the number of crimes registered in the police stations, we should not worry because it will ensure that the complains are being registered in the police station."

He also said, "We have made it mandatory in police stations that they have to register the FIR of every complainant who comes with a complaint. We have created the post of Special Deputy Superintendent of Police at the district level to investigate cases related to women harassment. A surveillance system has been put in place to curb heinous crimes". In his video, he referred to the Hathras incident and said, "The Hathras case shook the entire nation. In this, the way Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, who were going to meet the victim's family, were stopped on the Uttar Pradesh border".
