Rajasthan Congress minister's son may be arrested anytime, accused of raping girl for 10 years

Jaipur: The Delhi Police is now going to investigate the extortion case against Rohit Joshi, son of the Minister of State for Vigilance Dr Mahesh Joshi in Rajasthan. He can be arrested anytime in this case. According to reports, a case of rape has been registered against Rohit Joshi at Delhi's Sadar Bazar police station on Monday (May 9, 2022). The case will now be investigated by women police officers.

According to Delhi Police sources, 164 statements of the victim have been recorded before the magistrate today. A case has been registered against Rohit Joshi under seven sections under various sections including rape, unnatural sex, blackmailing and assault. It is being told that a case has been registered under 376, 377, 366, 312, 506, and 509 in the FIR number 338 at Sadar Bazar police station. The victim, in her complaint to the Delhi Police, has said that she is facing threat to her life from minister Mahesh Joshi. The victim had also raised doubts over a fair probe in Rajasthan due to the congress minister's insinuation. Now, there will be no interference from the Rajasthan Police in the investigation of this case.

Rohit Joshi has been accused of raping a 23-year-old girl several times by promising her marriage. North Delhi police have registered a zero FIR and transferred the case to the Superintendent of Police of Madhopur as she was first raped there. The victim has alleged that Rohit Joshi raped her several times. He filled sindoor in her forehead and said that now you are my wife and we will get married soon. He then took her on a honeymoon and raped her. It is alleged that when she got pregnant, he also got her aborted. The victim says Rohit has raped her for 10 years.
