After 52 new cases of coronavirus infection in the Indian state of Rajasthan, the number of infected people increased to 1628 by Tuesday morning. State's Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Rohit Kumar Singh said that 52 new cases were reported till 9 am on Tuesday, including 34 from Jaipur, 4 from Bhilwara, 5 from Jodhpur, 2 from Tonk and 2 from Jaisalmer.

In his statement, Singh said that the government had sent 4000 samples to a private lab in Delhi, whose report has started coming, so the number of new infected can increase significantly on Tuesday and Wednesday.

In the total cases of Coronavirus infection in Rajasthan, along with two Italian citizens, 61 people who have been brought from Iran have been stationed in army health centers in Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. There is a lockdown across the state since March 22 and curfew is in place in many police station areas.
