Neither these food donors have received compensation after 28 years, nor are they being allowed to do farming, the farmers were continuously demanding this. In the year 2013, the High Court had said in a judgment that either compensation should be given and or farming should be allowed. Now the Border Security Force has given the right to cultivate the grain donors.
According to the news received, in 1992 the number of affected donors in this way was around 1959, but now the number of affected donors has increased to around 10 thousand. Farmers of the Ramsar Sedwa Chauhtan Gadra area are affected on the border. Those farmers whose fields are near tarbandi and zero fencings will have to deposit their Jamabandi and ID cards at border posts to make passes. After that, an ID card with their photo will be made by the BSF. The same Barmer Sector DIG Vineet Kumar had said, "Farmers were continuously demanding at zero points. I have decided after meeting with the donors that farmers will now be able to do their farming at zero points.''
